El Paso Mini Marathon
A 1.2 Mile Run on March 7, 2010
For Boys and Girls 14 and under
The YMCA of El Paso and the El Paso Sports Commission have teamed up to bring you the 2010 El Paso Mini Marathon.
For boys and girls age 14 and under the El Paso Mini Marathon gives local youth the opportunity to run a marathon over the course of several weeks. Participants will run a little bit each day until they have accumulated 26.2 miles. 1.2 of those miles will be on the course of the El Paso Marathon on March 7, 2010. Anyone completing the marathon distance by May 7th will be invited to attend a Victory Pizza & Swim Party at the Loya Family YMCA on May 22, 2010 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Mileage logs will need to turned in to the Loya Family YMCA no later than 5:00 pm on May 7th in order to be eligible for the Victory Pizza & Swim Party. Mileage logs are available at the YMCA, at www.elpasoymca.org or at the Mini Marathon on March 7th.
** The 1.2 mile run will be Sunday, March 7, 2010 starting at 7:15am.
** Cost: $10.00 per child (includes T-shirt and finishing medal).
** Each participant receives a t-shirt and a medal upon finishing the 1.2 miles.
** Registration is from 6:30-7:00am.
** Starting line at the corner of Leon and Overland in downtown El Paso.
** Register at any YMCA branch or at the race on March 7, 2010.
